Iranian Center for Evidence-Based Medicine was established in 2004 by Dr. Sakineh Hajebrahimi at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, as the first Persian center.
The center is now one of the core EBM centers in the region and has strong links with the famous EBM centers worldwide. It is an incredibly special place, one that fuels creativity and responsibility of the all faculties for evidence-based Health.
The main goal of the center is to undertake appropriate training and research to make a high quality, safe and effective evidence-based environment for health system.
Our activities are focused on following areas:
- Clinical Effectiveness: research on safety, efficacy and effectiveness of treatment or prevention interventions
- Clinical practice guidelines and health technology assessments: research which granted by organizers or health systems about outcome of case.
- Knowledge translation, training and research on evidence-based practice, decision making and policy making.
